Tim Tighe earned his Juris Doctorate cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana, in 2001. He earned his Bachelors Degree cum laude from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1996. Mr. Tighe is admitted to practice in Illinois State Courts and before the Federal District Court for the Central District of Illinois.

After law school, Mr. Tighe served as an "elbow clerk" for Illinois Fourth District Appellate Court Justice Robert Cook from 2001 through 2003. In his two years of service on the Appellate Court, Mr. Tighe researched and drafted opinions deciding cases in nearly every area of Illinois law. His first-hand knowledge of the Appellate Court's process gives him invaluable experience that can be tactically and strategically applied at the trial and appellate levels.

Mr. Tighe was an Assistant States Attorney for Macon County, Illinois, from 2003 through 2005, where he had risen to the position of being one of the felony division's primary jury trial prosecutors.

Mr. Tighe accepted an Associate position at Bolen, Robinson & Ellis, LLP, in July 2005, and became a partner in July, 2006. During his time with the firm he has practiced in the areas of federal health care law, Bankruptcy, ERISA, family law, forcible entry and detainer, traffic and DUI defense, criminal defense, small claims defense and prosecution, collections and general civil litigation.
