During law school, Mrs. Zacheis served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Charles B. Hayes in California Superior Court in San Diego, California. She has also served as an intern with the San Francisco Homicide Detail, investigating hot and cold homicide cases. During 2001 and 2002 she worked at the Milton Abrams Legal Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska, serving indigent clients, specializing in family and domestic relations. Prior to entering the legal arena, Mrs. Zacheis was a professor at Parks College in Thorton, Colorado where she taught political science, business law and sociology classes, and served as the Business and General Studies Department Chair. After Parks College, Mrs. Zacheis was invited to serve as the Executive Director of Placement at Colorado Technical University. While at Colorado Tech, she also taught business law and constitutional law.
In 2005, Mrs. Zacheis began her legal career with the Macon County State’s Attorney, where she began as an intern in the juvenile division. In 2006 she was promoted to Assistant State’s Attorney in the juvenile division, handling all delinquency matters in Macon County.
Mrs. Zacheis accepted an Associate position at Bolen, Robinson & Ellis, LLP, in August, 2006. During her time with the firm she has practiced in the areas of family law, worker’s comp, estate planning, small claims prosecution, EEOC defense, collections and general civil litigation.
Upon relocating to Mt. Zion, Mrs. Zacheis became involved in the Decatur Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation Board.
